- Schweizerhaus - the most famous pork knuckle in Vienna
Situated in the hearth of the Prater amusement park( Tram 1, U1,U2) this viennese institution is the place to come, when you crave for the combination of beer and meat! It is particulary famous for "Stelze" - pork knuckle which is priced by kilo - it is piece of ham - inside soft and outside crispy served with various side dishes! The atmosphere is very boisterous, and it is always busy. The food on offer, other than the stelze, is definitely Austrian (Dumplings, Austrian Sweets)

Figlmüller is celebrated for its fabulous Wiener Schnitzel, and is often referred to as the “home” of this dish. Young and old alike enjoy meeting at this restaurant to savor its hallmarks of Viennese cuisine, Viennese charm and quality wines. – WOLLZEILE 5 (1st district - Old town)
Right near Stephansplatz you will find Vienna’s oldest restaurant (since 1447), with its vaulted dining rooms and a shady garden. The ideal setting to try the local traditional Viennese cuisine. - Fleischmarkt 11 (1st district - Old town)
- Centimeter - tipical austrian cuisine with huge portions
Famous for its immense portions, the menu offers dishes like “two meters of wurst”, all sorts of meat pierced on a sword, or a whole wheelbarrow containing a broad variety of what the kitchen has to offer. The name Centimeter descends from the fact that you order (and pay) cold or warm open-faced sandwiches by their length measured in centimeters.

You will find them all over Vienna because these delicious sausages are our kind of streetfood. It’s already part of our culture even more at 5am in the morning you will appreciate it ;) Try the so-called “Käsekrainer”, which is the most tipical and yummiest sausage filled with cheese - best served with a piece of dark bread, some horseradisch and of course an ice-cold beer!
Nice Italian restaurant just down the “Schönbrunner Allee” street. They serve nice pizza and pasta, if you are to lazy to go out of the house you are lucky! - they also offer a delivery-service to the Hostel.

if you want a homey environment, awesome delicious food, good drinks and interesting people and their stories then you should just stay here and ask Clemens or one of the other staff to cook something for you. You always pay as much you want – but please don’t mess with us :P
- Naschmarkt – Vienna’s most famous market
Vienna’s best-known market has around 120 market stands and restaurants for a colorful culinary offering ranging from Viennese to Indian, from Vietnamese to Italian. The Naschmarkt has developed into a meeting point for young and old. The Flea Market on Saturday is already a cult event.
On the Naschmarkt, a colorful crowd buys fruit, vegetables and various delicacies from every country from dawn till dusk. Increasing numbers of trendy "in" places are also finding somewhere to set up in the more than 120 market stands, and even offer free WLAN.
